I print the W2's and ACA forms for many of our clients, and over the last three years, we've had MANY of the ACA forms rejected because the name doesn't match exactly. NONE of the W-2's have ever been rejected - only the ACA Forms.
We have agricultural clients and construction clients who have workers with very challenging names. The key is to have the name match EXACTLY what is on their Social Security Card, and even then we have problems with rejection. We have started asking clients to register with Business Services Online, the government's website to confirm a worker's name with his Social Security Number. But - if it doesn't match - there's nowhere to go other than calling the IRS and waiting in a queue for help to try and get things straightened out.
The last word I had was that we had to attempt 3 times to get the name right by refiling through Aatrix. And to keep the documentation that we did try 3 times in case the government contacted the client...

Client just got a notice from Aatrix that 115 of their 1095 are being rejected because the Name does not match the IRS's name for the SSN. No such issues from W2s, at least not yet. Has anyone else had this happen - I just can't believe they are all incorrect.
