100c Upgrades Perhaps I have had a virtual beer hat filled with Kool-Aid, but now that I've been pricing large systems for 100c where the delta over maintenance is $6K - $8K, is the maximum of 15% increase over maintenance just for year 1? And starting in year 2, it goes to the standard 100c per user pricing? If that's true, I'm stopping now.

This was discussed previously but I'm not sure it's definitive because in the past I have had significant trouble finding two people at Sage to provide the same answer. The short answer appears to be that promotions/discounts go away in year 2+ https://90minds-com.socialcast.com/messages/29948119 My suggestion to Diane Haines was that Sage needs to make this promo perpetual unless the customer leaves maintenance. However, I do not think Sage will do that because otherwise they will be looking at flat growth.

The agreement is solid and it shows the renewal amount, but I know customers will forget that and I will be blamed when that very large renewal amount comes due.

I don't trust Sage to quote price properly. When it's wrong people tend to scatter and unless you have it in writing the odds of winning against Sage are low.

As Sage moves customers to subscription, they can now meet analyst expectations based on goosing subscription increases. No need to write new software, or add new functionality. How great is that?
