100c question - For those perpetual conversions to 100c, does moving them over allow the STD user to convert to Adv at no charge? Just wondering because on new purchases, there no upcharge to go with Adv or Premium. Need to know before telling a std user that this would be a benefit to them. TIA

I've heard that currently they can do this at no charge, but it's not a standard feature of moving to 100c. More of a special for now.

Wonder why it would be special since new orders have no price diff?

Not sure, it's just what I've heard from our Account Managers within the company. That it's good today, but may not be a long term thing. Probably cuz they are leaving money on the table in getting people to move to Adv or Prem?

I have heard nothing like this in BPAC meetings, but I am sure if they are changing it to be chargeable, we would be told - or not. Notice I said ""changing"" rather than ""thinking of changing"", which is what the process has been. If Sage gets a lot of push back on their idea, they go back to the drawing board. Once most of the customers are on 100c, then Sage may need to think of other ways to make money, although my argument would be - what does it cost you to allow a user to go to Advanced or Premium? The additional argument is - what if they don't want to pay to go to premium and with other issues pushes them into another package - huge cost to Sage.

We have moved a couple of customers from standard to advanced as part of the move to 100c subscription. No upcharge from Sage at present.

Yikes! We have a very expired client that has to repurchase Sage 100 Adv. We sold the same to another very expired client in December for @ 20k for the perpetual license. Sage is looking to charge them only 2500 for 100c this year. Anyone else have this huge of a discrepancy? We have talked to our Sage rep and were told it was correct.
