100c Customer Unlocking Keys not in Partner Portal

100c Customer Unlocking Keys not in Partner Portal We were told yesterday that 100c customer unlocking keys will no longer be updated on the partner portal. The customer has to log in to the customer portal to get their keys, we can't access them. This came from Jessica Stallings in Sales Ops. Was this discussed in a webcast that I missed?

What could possibly be the reasoning behind this decision?

Interesting. No, it has not been discussed. To answer @DougHiggs - Sage is doing everything it can to drive a wedge between the customer and the channel. At least, for the non-cloud products. The ultimate goal is to get all customer in the Sage Business Cloud.

Well that really helps the partner morale. No wonder they have to keep raising prices to meet sales targets.

That is insane. When installing an upgrade I have to get the customer to log into the portal (which they may have never done before) just to get the unlocking keys? Something to bring up at MOTM for sure.

@KevinMoyes my thoughts exactly, Sage has moved from not helping to actively hindering us

This is a huge negative. I know my clients do not log into the portal.

Increasing red tape raises TCO with no benefit to anyone. Sage admin processes are horrible enough without adding additional burdens.

It promotes Sage's current philosophy- If it ain't broke, break it!

I did a 100 to 100c for an existing user yesterday and I see 100c keys and under inactive products, I see 100 keys. I haven't had a chance to test those keys to ensure they are valid.

According to an e-mail I just received from Larry Sunderlin, this is not correct as far as he knows. Since is the Director of Sales Operations, I would trust his knowledge. There have been a great deal of inconsistencies of procedures and general knowledge since this function was moved to Atlanta. I don't remember any of this occurring when it was in Irvine.

Wait... I think this is happening to assist re-sellers with the problems we have been experiencing. A client recently moved to 100c, that then replaced their keys in the partner portal,; which caused their Non Sage 100c keys, to stop working. However, they have third party add on products, and they are changing platforms, which makes their current version inoperable. Is this why, maybe? We are expecting a solution on March 1.

But the old keys are in the Inactive Products, right?

Yes, I see the 100c keys in the active and the 100 keys if I flip to inactive. This is for a customer who made the 100 to 100c switch yesterday.
